PPU is a gender-balanced institution with a cumulative equal participation rate in all programs and activities, about half of the students of PPU are female students and a third of employees are female academic and administrative employees. Also, female students are always encouraged to participate in male-dominated fields such as mechanical engineering programs, therefore a higher rate of female students are participating in these fields. As well, some programs are more female-dominated, and male students are encouraged to enroll and participate in such programs.
