PPU is committed to maintaining a strong in-house workforce, supporting living wages and benefits for employees, and ensuring equitable treatment for any allowable contract workers.
There is a general prohibition on contracting out services and functions that can be performed by University staff. Under exigent and limited circumstances when an outside contractor is a solution PPU bids for services according to the rules and regulations of procurement stated in the bylaws.
PPU ensures that contract workers have a suitable working environment and provides them with services similar to those provided to the university employees.
