PPU provides applied research in the fields of food security and sustainable terrestrial ecosystems through the Palestinian Korean Biotechnology Research Center. Some of the main research areas in BRC are food and drug safety, and food security in addition to reserving endangered plants and trees by establishing the Seed Bank that contains enhanced crop seeds and endangered plants seeds. The BRC also provides support to local farmers, forest keepers, and food industrial institutions through scientific solutions and tailored capacity-building programs.
