The College of Nursing at Palestine Polytechnic University recently conducted a mock emergency management drill in collaboration with various Palestinian organizations, including the police, civil defense, and the Red Crescent.
The event began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the Palestinian national anthem, and the university president, Dr. Amjad Barham, and other officials gave speeches thanking everyone involved. Barham thanked the partners for their cooperation and for organizing joint activities and training programs for the students. The Dean of the College of Nursing expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event.
The drill involved evacuating casualties from a simulated explosion and providing first aid and healthcare. The College of Nursing believes in the importance of community involvement and aims to prepare its students to serve the community in the medical and humanities fields.
