The Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering recently organized a scientific lecture on work accidents in construction workshops, featuring Dr. Muhammad Jayyousi as the guest speaker.
Dr. Jayyousi expressed his gratitude to the university president, Dr. Amjad Barham, for the administration's commitment to educating students and promoting knowledge that can help reduce the risks associated with future work environments. Following the meeting with Dr. Barham in his office, Dr. Jayyousi proceeded to deliver his lecture at the College of Engineering.
Dr. Jayyousi, who holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Health and Safety Engineering, was invited to give a lecture on "Work Accidents in Construction Sites" at the College of Engineering. He also holds a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and another in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment, and has completed numerous courses on security and safety.
During the lecture, Dr. Jayyousi presented statistics on work accidents in construction sites from 2000 to today and discussed the economic losses, causes, and preventive measures. He also showed pictures highlighting the safety violations at these sites.
The lecture was well-received by the students, who asked questions and engaged in the discussion. At the end of the visit, the college staff expressed their gratitude to Dr. Jayyousi for sharing his expertise with the students.
