PPU started a winter technology camp in artificial intelligence and robotics for students in 7th, 8th and 9th grades at the Education Directorate in Hebron schools.
Dr. Amjad Barham, the university president, opened the camp and praised the Directorate for its role in promoting education and broadening students’ perspectives. He also emphasized that PPU supports all community institutions, particularly educational institutions, in their efforts to support students and give them access to new knowledge and skills that will help them advance their academic and career goals. The university aims to create a generation that understands the value of technology, knows how to use it effectively, and can use it to start community-based initiatives that advance Palestinian society.
Mr. Atef Al Jamal, Director of Education in Hebron, thanked the university in his speech for its ongoing partnership with the Directorate in making events and activities a success. He also thanked the teachers who inspire students to actively participate and learn.
The students were then given an overview of the university's faculties and programs. The students were then divided among the computer labs at the College of Information Technology and Computer Engineering, where students received their training.
