PPU President Dr. Amjad Barham welcomed Mr. Oliver Owcza and his team to his office in the presence of the university's vice presidents, faculty members from the Faculty of Dual Studies, the Public Relations and Media Department, and representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Dr. Barham welcomed the delegation and stressed how deep the relations between Germany and Palestine are in the educational area, as the university offers specializations in dual studies in collaboration with GIZ. According to Barham, the Dual Studies program is well-received by the students because it gives them the full opportunity to acquire a full academic degree with practical and professional experience and a qualification that fully meets the requirements of today's companies.
Mr. Owcza praised PPU for the warm welcome and expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of vocational programs that meet the job market's needs. Mr. Owcza met with the partner companies and the College of Dual Studies students outside of the conference to learn more about their experiences with this program. The delegation also visited university labs that employ interactive and technical education at the university.
In order to lower the unemployment rate among graduates, the two parties emphasized the importance of cooperation in developing educational programs that suit the needs of the labor market.
