Based on PPU's mission to support scientific research and strengthen community engagement, Dr. Belal Almassri, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, recently finished a two-week research visit to the University of Toulouse that was sponsored by the French Consulate in Jerusalem. The French Scholarship for Palestinian Researchers seeks to improve research collaboration by encouraging researcher and academic exchange.
Dr. Bilal was selected from a number of researchers and academics in Palestine by the French Consulate to work in a joint research team with the University of Toulouse on using technology to preserve Palestinian concrete structures.
During this visit, Dr. Belal Almassri gave lectures to postgraduate students at the University of Toulouse. He also met with a number of professors and PhD students to view the results of their study and project findings.
