Palestine polytechnic university presented by Dr. Husam Abuaisha participated in the Twelfth International Conference on Jerusalem, titled "Jerusalem in the Mass Media," held on the 26th of September, 2013, at Al-Najah National University. In his article, "Comparative Analysis of Some Headlines, Caricature, Covers, and Articles of Time and Newsweek Coverage of Al-Quds," Dr. Abuaisha reflects on how and in which sense mass media (re)(trans)impose, whether consciously or not, the political and poetical terms that are related to Jerusalem.
In this conference, the participants called upon the Secretary-General of the United Nations to interfere to stop all the illegal procedures projected in Jerusalem. They also call for a strategic plan of, and for, the Palestinian mass media that takes into its consideration the development of technology.
