Palestine Polytechnic University is holding its international "HULT PRIZE" competition

 
The students of Palestine Polytechnic University, led by student Tala Jafar and a distinguished team of students from various specializations, organized the HULT PRIZE Global Competition.  The organization of this competition was supervised by Dr. Iyad Al-Hashlamoun, the Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the support of Dr. Mohammad Ghazi Al Qawasmi, Vice President of the University for Community Services, and the activities of this competition was sponsored by Al-Naseem Investment Company.
The competition this year focused on providing students with entrepreneurial ideas to solve global environmental problems through making profitable companies that provide job opportunities for one million people. The grand prize in this competition will be after the knockout stage in New York and it is worth one million dollars (US$1,000.000)
16 teams from all specializations applied to this competition at Palestine Polytechnic University., and they were judged by  a jury panel consisting of distinguished group of academics, researchers from the university and all those concerned:

In order to support the students’ ideas and discuss the practical application of the ideas, a number of businessmen and entrepreneurs from Hebron Governorate participated for the first time in this arbitration:
Mr. Wissam Al-Qawasmeh -  Al-Naseem Investment Company
Haj Mazen Zughayer           -  Royal Company
Hajj Wael Al-Harbawi         -  Al-Herbawi Company
Eng. Sadeq Nairoukh      - Al-Taqadum Company for the manufacture of cabinets, scales and metal furniture
Mr. Ehab Hassouneh       - Aram Group for Accounting and Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Hebron
After the first round of judging ended, the best 6 projects were selected, of which the best three projects were selected in the second round to represent the University in the competition with other universities.
The first team: “Friends” for Shahd Hamida, Mohammed Dweik, Ahmed Abu Rmaileh, and Murad Iwaiwi
Second team: “Earth Defenders” for  Abdel-Qader Al-Amleh, Shorouq Jabr, Marwa Hammoud, and  Rawan Busaila
Third team: “Glorious team” for Karim Salman, Alia Ghaith, Saja Shweiki, and Masa Salaymeh.
At the end of the judging process, the winning teams were honored, and the jury was given thanks for their valuable time and efforts in arbitration.
Palestine Polytechnic University, in turn, wishes the winning projects success in representing the University in the competition that will take place with other universities.
