Students from Palestine Polytechnic University receive the best scientific poster defining engineering and computer science at the Second Research Conference for Palestinian Undergraduate Students

The students: Hadeel Sarahin and Hammam al-Hersh, from the Department of Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Power at Palestine Polytechnic University(PPU) received the best scientific poster that identifies engineering and computer science at the Second Research Conference for Palestinian undergraduate students, held at Al-Quds University. The students' project, titled "Prototype for Smart Irrigation System Based on Solar Cells", was under the supervision of Dr. Fuad al-Zarou.
It is noteworthy that the Second Research Conference for Palestinian Undergraduate Students is the first of its kind,  related to researches produced by students,  that aims at strengthening the mechanism of scientific research production and encouraging students to make such researches. This conference is the outcome of a whole year of students' research and work that go through a process of many stages of  testing and evaluation by specialized committees in scientific research.
Ninety-two papers from Palestinian universities in the West Bank and Gaza were submitted to the conference of which sixty-five papers were accepted after a fine judging process in the form of oral interventions and scientific posters.
Many students from  Palestinian universities, including Palestine Polytechnic University, Al-Quds University, Birzeit University, Hebron University, Bethlehem University and the American Palestine School, participated in the conference. They presented their projects and research papers, in addition to the participation of students from University of Palestine in Gaza who joined the discussion and presented their papers and posters by using video conference technology.
At the end of the conference, the results of the winners were announced, honored and given certificates of appreciation.
