Palestine Polytechnic University participates in the meetings of Improving Governance Project in Slovenia

 
 
The PPU participated in the administrative meeting and the field visit within the activities of Improving governance practices Project in the Palestinian Universalities (UNIGov). The PPU is one of the five Palestinian partner universities in this project,  in addition to five European partner universities.
The meeting was held in  the University of Ljubljana, in Slovenia from  Feb 12  to Feb. 16. It was attended by Mr. Fayez Qawasmi, Director of the Administrative and Financial Supervision, Dr. Amjad Barham, Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, engineer Yousef Salah, Director of the University President Office (Project Coordinator), Mr. Mohammad Abu Sneineh, Director of the Department of Human Resources, and. Razan Awawdeh, responsible for the Department of Planning and Development.
A review was given on the project progress and the time set for its activities, in addition to discussing the relevant budgets and comparing them with the money allocated for this project. After that,  they agreed to set a schedule for the remaining activities, to confirm the delivery of project outputs from partner universities and develop mechanisms that reflect governance practices on the strategic plans of universities.
The University of Ljubljana also held several specialized field visits and meetings with administrators from the University of Ljubljana, most notably Professor Tomaž Deželan, Vice-Chancellor of the University, who gave a detailed presentation on the governance model at the University of Ljubljana. Dr. Uroš Stritih also gave a lecture on " Commission for quality evaluation". A special visit was also made at the College of Economics and Business where the Dean of the College gave a detailed presentation on the administrative methodology of the College. Dr. Drago Bračun also gave a presentation on "Making Strategy Work " and talked about a detailed plan for the third package outputs of the project.
