Last month the Journal of Immunology Research (IF 3.298) published an article by researchers Dr. Yacoub Al-Ashhab and Yasmeen Dweik, from the Palestinian-Korean Center for Biotechnology on the results of analyzing ninety genetic maps of three bacterial strains by using algorithms that apply the Genomic Big Data Mining methodology.
This research is part of a project supported by the Jerusalem Academy of Scientific Research, which aims to design vesicles with immune properties that are secreted from different types of bacteria. These vesicles are safe and can be used to develop vaccines against various diseases such as infectious diseases and some types of cancerous tumors to generate strong immunity to attack Cancer cells.
