Palestine Polytechnic University Celebrates the Inauguration of Munib Rashid al-Masri Building for Innovation and Excellence and Laying the Foundation Stone for the Students services Building

On April 3, 2018, Palestine Polytechnic University celebrated the inauguration of Munib Rashid al-Masri Building for innovation and excellence donated by his Excellency Dr. Munib Rashid al-Masri, in support of the development of  the PPU and its promotion for excellence and innovation.
 
During the opening event, a tour has been made around the Palestinian Korean Center for Biotechnological Research, donated by the Korean government, emanating from the belief that the PPU is the right place for developing the vital and health sector in Palestine. Then they laid the foundation stone for the Students Services Building  which will be funded by the Islamic Development Bank in Mecca, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in Kuwait, and the Palestinian Telecommunication Group under the supervision of the Palestinian Economic Council (PECDAR). This modern building will provide the students with an outlet to practice their activities that hone their personality and develop their skills in all fields.
 
Among the attendees to the Opening of the Korean Building were Dr. Munib Rashid al-Masri and his family,  the Chairman of the UGU Council and the  PPU Board of Trustees Mr. Ahmad Said Tamimi and the Board members: Mr. Ibrahim Amro,  Mr. Suleiman Abu Sneineh, Mr.Ahmed Basilah, Mr. Alaeddin Al-Ja’bari,  Mr. Ref’at Tahboub, in addition to the Governor of Hebron District Mr. Kamel Hmeid, the Mayor of Hebron Mr. Tayseer Abu Sneineh,  the Secretary General of Fateh Movement Mr. Imad Kharwat, the Representative of the Minister of Education and Higher Education Mr. Atef Al-Jamal. Among the attendees were also the University President  Prof. Dr. Imad Khatib and his vice-presidents, and the academic and administrative bodies of the University, in addition to  a large number of representatives of governmental, civil, national, community, and representative from the private sector and businessmen in the District.
 
At the beginning of the ceremony, al-Tamimi welcomed the attendees and thanked Dr. Munib Rashid Al Masri and all the generous donors from Hebron District. He then emphasized the PPU’s continuous efforts towards developing the University and  all its programs and laboratories, pointing out that this event has come within the series of the continuous development in this regard.. Then he thanked Mr. Munib Rasheed Al-Masri, again for supporting the University mission and its role in building the young generations.
 
Mr. Muneeb as well praised the university efforts towards developing the University, and expressed his happiness for being there to witness the opening of this building, stressing the importance of investment in education to achieve development and independence in the State of Palestine. He also emphasized  the vision of the Manib Rashed Foundation for Development that has aimed to improve the level of scientific research in the State of Palestine and  support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem.
