Palestine wins the first prize for architectural heritage project

State of Palestine wins the first prize of the "architectural heritage" for a competition with the Arab towns organization in Qatar .

Within the partnership between Arab Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) - PPU- and Halhul municipality as member in the Arab Towns Organization, Palestine wins the first prize in this competition by the implemented project to rehabilitate Bab El Zawieh neighborhood at Hebron

The project is a integrated design for the rehabilitation of Bab El Zawieh the center of Hebron. The project includes the development of buildings in the area to match the requirements of the city and converted to a social culture center, guest house , and Tourist Information Center to confirm the Palestinian Arab Islamic identity by rehabilitate and maintain Cultural heritage buildings and renovated to be used and identified milestone for the city of Hebron.

Dr. Ghassan Dweik from Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) the supervisor engineer oversaw the project with corporation from professors, students and technicians from the Engineering Department of Civil and Architectural in PPU support and partnership from the municipality of Halhul.
