Palestine Polytechnic University receives the US Consul General in Jerusalem and discusses the prospects of joint cooperation in different areas

 

The PPU, represented by  Prof. Dr. Imad Khatib and his deputies,  the Director of Excellence Center in  Teaching and Learning, and the Director of the Languages Center at the University, has received Mr. Donald Bloom, the US Consul General in Jerusalem, James Turner, the head of the Economic Division and his deputy Sam Rovmberg, Dana Rasas , the Deputy Director of the Cultural Centers, Ms. Maureen Marom, the person in charge of the cultural exchange at the Consulate, and Gina Cabrera Farraj, the Secretary of Cultural Affairs,  to discuss the ways of joint cooperation in many areas.

The University President, al- Khatib,  empathized the importance of having mutual collaboration between the PPU and  the American universities and institutions. Then, he gave a brief history of the University, its specialties and the vital centers that play a great role in serving the community. After that he talked about the University plans at both the academic and research levels and the university leading role in the community and its partnership with all sectors.

As well, Dr.  Ayman Sultan, the Vice President for Planning and Development and International Relations, gave a presentation on the development of the university undergoing its transformation to an entrepreneurial University, and he also gave a brief information about the university future projects.

The US Consul General, Mr. Bloom, expressed his admiration for the progress and development achieved by the university in the field of entrepreneurship and excellence in its programs and centers and its relation with the community and all other various sectors.
