Palestine Polytechnic University holds a day for Career Guidance and Orientation entitled “ Your way to Success”

A day for Career Guidance and  Orientation entitled “Your Way to Success” has been held at PPU.  The IT Center of Excellence (ITC) arranged this day in cooperation with the Palestinian Education Development Program and Employment Opportunities implemented by Mercy Corps Foundation in partnership with the Association of Ayadi al-Khair to Reach Out To  Asia (Association of Hands of Charity to Reach Out To Asia ). This day was made also with the cooperation of the Department of Guidance and Orientation in the Directorate of Education of Hebron in the presence of the Director of the ITC Mr. Wisam Shamroukh, Dr. Ziyad Jweiles, Mr. Hasan Omar, Mr. Fadi Suweiti, the Public Relations staff,  and 150 male and female school students from the tenth grade.

The CGO day aimed at  educating the students and making them aware of the importance of entrepreneurship in business and being an entrepreneur who has the chance to come up with a creative and innovative idea.  The talks in this day revolved around business incubators and accelerators that provide an entrepreneur with the required experience,  training and practical skills.  After that, the speakers encouraged students and gave information and guidance about how to choose  their future career, pointing out the difference between the desire and the capability when deciding on their future career or specialization.  Then they presented statistical information, numbers, and figures, as well as reciting some examples from their own experience.

At the end of this day, the university administration empathized the university’s role in improving the quality of vocational education and spreading it all over Hebron districts, thanking all the organizations and institutions that helped in making this activity a success for its importance to build a better future for our students and support them in their academic life.

It is noteworthy that the CGO day helps in building a bridge between the school students and the academic, public, and private sectors.
