The Center Chemical and Biological Analysis and Calibration (CCBAC) was established at Palestine Polytechnic University in early 2022. Our mission is to support local companies, factories, and warehouses by offering essential chemical, physical, and biological testing services for a wide range of products, including pharmaceutical products and veterinary medicines, food, cosmetics, and nutritional supplements. Additionally, we provide consultation services to help factories improve their products and testing methods. Notably, we are the only accredited center in the southern West Bank equipped to conduct certain mandatory tests required by regulatory authorities.
Services and Analyses Offered:
In collaboration with Palestine Standards Institution (PSI) and the Palestinian Ministry of Health, our center aims to protect Palestinian consumers and support the national economy. We contribute to the development of the industrial and agricultural sectors by providing the necessary testing for pharmaceutical products and veterinary medicines, food, cosmetics, and nutritional supplements, including:
- Chemical and Biological Testing: Analysis of active ingredients and heavy elements in medicines, nutritional supplements, and cosmetics.
- Physical Testing: Assessments of pH, viscosity, density, solids percentage, moisture content, and other physical properties.
- Microbiological Testing: Screening for microbial contamination across all products.
- Veterinary products Testing: Specific analyses required for veterinary drugs products.
- Leather Industry Testing: chemical analysis of textile and leather including chromium oxide content, formaldehyde content
- Pesticide Residue Testing: Evaluation of pesticide residues in fruits, vegetables, and other produce.
- Pesticide Testing: Comprehensive pesticide analysis.
- On-Site Calibration: Calibration of devices essential to the accuracy of chemical testing such as HPLC.
- Research Collaboration: Support for both university and external researchers in conducting essential tests.
- Training Programs: Offering training courses in chemical and biological analysis.
- Stability Studies: Conducting stability studies across various products including food supplement, food and drugs.
- Method Validation and Optimization: Development and validation of testing methods mainly HPLC methods.
- Industry Consultation: Providing support and solutions to local industries.

We strive for continuous improvement, maintaining the quality and accuracy of our results through daily checks of control and standard samples for each analysis. We aim to share our expertise with all who seek it and work diligently toward obtaining international certifications that will save time, money, and effort by enabling testing to be done locally. We also maintain active communication with relevant ministries and authorities to stay updated on the latest regulatory developments and requirements.
