A delegation from Palestine Polytechnic University, led by the Dean of the College of Applied Professions, Dr. Mohammad Abu Taha, attended a meeting in Palermo, Italy, for the launch of the Greening-IE project. The project is a collaboration between several partners, including ARCES from Italy, LCE from Spain, and Irbid Private University from Jordan.
During the meeting, the project objectives were reviewed, and an agreement was made regarding the administrative structure and responsibilities of each partner. Abu Taha gave a presentation on the university's history, achievements, and strategic vision, and the college team presented their plans for studying and developing industrial academic programs and establishing a sustainable manufacturing laboratory as part of the project outputs.
The President of Palestine Polytechnic University, Dr. Amjad Barham, expressed appreciation for the delegation's participation and emphasized the importance of enhancing the university's position in international academic and research programs. The Greening-IE project is funded by the European Union and aims to develop Palestinian competencies in sustainable industrial processes through partnerships with European specialists and the Palestinian labor market.
