The PPU hosted the Director of the Center of Global Studies at the Czech Academy of Sciences Dr. Marek Hrubic, in the presence of Prof. Imad Khatib, the University President, Dr. Ayman Al-Haj Daoud, from Palestine Academy of Science and Technology, the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Murad Abu Sbeih, and the Director of Public Relations and Information Mr. Wisam Shamroukh, in addition to researchers.

Al-Khatib started his speech by emphasizing the importance of the guest's visit to Palestine and the initiative to establish a Palestinian-Czech science bridge, aiming to support academic and research exchange among active cadres in both countries.

As well, Dr. Hrubic pointed out the interest of the Czech Republic in developing relations that lead to Palestinian-Czech cooperation in the field of scientific research as well as their great desire to work out this initiative and making it a success.

After that Dr. Hrubic met with a number of researchers and directors of research centers in Palestine Polytechnic University and Hebron University, and the  Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research welcomed the audience and mentioned the main objective of Dr. Hrubic's visit.

Then, Dr. Hrubic gave a detailed explanation of the Czech Academy of Science, its  interests and the research areas it focuses on, and he expressed the great desire of the Czech Academy to build research relations with researchers in Palestinian universities through the Palestine Academy of Science and Technology. At the end of the meeting, he answered the questions raised by the audience.
