A delegation of 20 female and 18 male students from different colleges at Palestine Polytechnic University returned to the University after a two-week academic visit to the University of Michigan in Detroit and Ann Arber in America.
The visit included students’ participation in workshops on entrepreneurship, life skills and brainstorming, in addition to having training in companies and institutions, each according to his/her specialization.
It is noteworthy that this visit has been part of entrepreneurship education and community project, funded by the Cultural Section of the American Consulate and offered to the University last year.
170 students have been given training on life skills, brainstorming and community and business entrepreneurship at Palestine Polytechnic University. 10 projects will be adopted for students participating in the University incubator and 80 training opportunities will be offered in local companies and institutions for three paid months. Furthermore, five members of the teaching staff will participate in a scientific research visit to Michigan University during the coming period.
In a related context, the visiting supervisors at Michigan University praised the students in their reports and valued their abilities and commitment to the various activities.
