The PPU has completed a course of training trainers in the HKJ as part of the university vision “Towards Science, Technology and Innovation Entrepreneurial University”. The Industrial Synergy Center has launched a project to establish industrial production machinery lines at the University, funded by the project “Compete” in collaboration with the Global National Instruments Foundation. Therefore, a course for training trainers was held in Amman, Jordan for five days. The course has aimed to train trainers in the field of “Programming the advanced industrial systems belonging to the National Instrument (NI) Company and also to train them on modern techniques introduced by the Global NT in the field of linking the industrial systems with data request.
Engineer Makawi Hraiz, the Director of the ISC, pointed out that this project which is related to design and production of industrial machines inside the University is the first of its kind at the level of the Palestinian universities. Then, he said startup projects will begin. Also, he stated that this course has come within the first phase of the project which consists of two phases: the first one includes supporting the PPU in order to develop its laboratory equipment and software related to the field of circulating and programming of industrial machines for (NI) and the second one includes training a specialized staff. At a later time, fifty students will be trained in this area within this phase.
It is noteworthy that raining has included field visits such as visiting the Measurement Laboratory at Al-Balqaa University where they get acquainted with the devices, designed and made by the local companies that have cooperation with NI Company. Also, they visited King Hussein compound for Business to have an idea about the startup companies and Fabrication Lab and Super Computer.
The Representative of Compete Project, Mr. Hanna Rabah in addition to Dr. Sameer Khader, Dr. Sami Abu Sneineh, Dr. Diaa Arafeh, Dr. Loay Shaeen, Mr. Makawi Hraiz, Mr. Alaa al-Tamimi, Mr. Mohammad al-Wawi, Mr. Abdel Razzaq Abu Zaineh, and Mr. Mohammad al-Qaisi, participated in this training course.
