The World Summit Award Initiative on Mobile Content (Palestine) is an extension of the World Summit Award -Mobile e-Content. It coordinates and cooperates with WSA in order to approve the spontaneous nomination of the winning projects locally as candidates for Palestine, to compete for the annual global award. It is noteworthy that the World Summit Award for e-content initiative contest is considered an international initiative, operates in compliance with the United Nations body, and works towards developing two types of electronic content in the areas of Internet, mobile phones and back-office applications. Nomination process takes place in several stages, starting in the 170 participating countries and the candidates are shortlisted into only 40 international contestants who are nominated by the committees of international arbitration within the international standards. These standards have been developed according to scientific bases studied by international experts who are specialized in the field of e-content and mobile phone. This seeks to choose the best application in each category of the eight categories for the award during the international conference of the World Summit Award which will be held for three days in Abu Dhabi in early 2017 where the winners will be able to show and promote their work in front of a specialized international presence.
