PPU Joins 5th International Staff Week at Usak University

 

Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU), represented by Dr. Majed Dwaik, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, participated in the 5th International Staff Week at Usak University, Turkey, from May 27-31, 2024. This event, part of the Erasmus+ Academic Exchange Program, aimed to enhance academic cooperation among universities. Attended by representatives from 35 universities across more than 25 countries, the program included presentations, discussions, workshops, and networking activities.

Dr. Dwaik presented on PPU's initiatives and emphasized the significance of academic exchanges for skill and knowledge enhancement. He also met with Usak University's President, Prof. Dr Ekrem Savaş, to discuss strengthening research and scientific cooperation, focusing on medical education. They explored increasing student participation in clinical training and developing additional research projects under a Memorandum of Understanding.

PPU prioritizes academic exchange, particularly for its medical students, and actively participates in international programs like Erasmus+ to foster global academic opportunities. The university's Planning and Development Department aims to develop joint agreements and participate in international development projects, enhancing cooperation with regional and international institutions.
