Palestine Polytechnic University held elections for the General Student Conference for the 2023–2024 session. The elections were conducted in a peaceful and orderly democratic environment, with three student blocs participating. The elections were supervised by a Supreme Committee, and 41 seats were contested in the General Student Conference.
After the votes were counted and the seats were calculated according to the Student Council constitution, the turnout was 63.04 percent, with:
Al-Wafaa Islamic Bloc: 19 seats,
The Nabd Students Bloc: 1 seat, and
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Bloc: 21 seats.
The head of the Supreme Elections Committee, Dr. Raed Amro, reported that 4,756 out of 7,544 eligible students voted in the presence of representatives of the student blocs.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Khalil Amro, praised the students' cooperation and commitment during the elections, which demonstrated their sense of responsibility and devotion to their university. The President of Palestine Polytechnic University, Dr. Amjad Barham, expressed his gratitude to all the committees and teams involved in organizing and conducting the electoral process and appreciated the democratic atmosphere that prevailed during the election. He also thanked the students for their awareness and sense of belonging during the election days.
