Palestine Polytechnic University and Al-Quds Open University have obtained the accreditation for the joint master's program in accounting and finance. An application was made for gaining the accreditation of the joint program between the two universities and it was approved by the National Authority for Accreditation and Quality in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This joint program aims at providing students with research and analytical skills that enable them to solve the financial problems facing business organizations, preparing distinctive competencies capable of making financial and monetary analysis in accordance with the best international and professional practices, and developing the skills of managing investment portfolios and return and risk analysis. It aims also at preparing distinctive and creative competencies, capable of taking decisions from among the various financial and monetary alternatives, and enhancing the analytical capabilities of general operational budgets, how to analyze and assess the financial performance of profit and non-profit organizations and public sector institutions, and fiscal and monetary policy-making as well, in addition to providing the local and international institutions with experts having high professional ethics and scientific and practical skills in the field of accounting and finance.
