Palestine Polytechnic University and the British Council explore the prospects of joint cooperation

The President of Palestine Polytechnic University Prof. Imad Khatib and the Director of the British Council Mr. Martin Daltery discussed ways of joint cooperation in the presence of the  Projects and Scholarship Coordinator Ms. Merna Kassis, the Director of Examination Section and Public relation Mr. Imad Qashou', and the Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs Dr. Mustafa Abu Safa, in addition to a number of the University  academic and administrative staff  members.

In the beginning, the University President Dr. al-Khatib welcomed the guests and praised the cooperation between the British council and the University. Then he briefed the University latest developments in the academic, research, community service and partnership between the University and local community institutions.

In a related context Mr. Martin Daltery expressed his happiness for such visit to the University and he talked about the partnership between the two institutions and the services and the scholarships the British Council provided  to the Masters and the PhDs  students  through the "HESPAL" scholarship.

Then the University held a seminar about the British Council HESPAL scholarship.  After that the two parties reviewed the ways of cooperation with regard to sending the University staff and graduate students on scholarships to pursue their postgraduate studies at the British universities, mechanism of applying to  such scholarships and its conditions, the academic programs available, and the partner British universities, in addition to discussing a number of issues that enhance such academic cooperation in the field of scientific research and exchange.

At the end of the seminar, the University scholarship recipients expressed their happiness for their educational experience in the United Kingdom and thanked the British Council for offering such  opportunities and scholarships to the University students and teachers.
